Jaye Martin
Jaye Martin began practicing yoga in 1998 after successful careers as a professional musician and a ballet dancer with the Joffrey Ballet in New York and the Sarasota Ballet. While dancing, he discovered his talent for articulating and teaching complex dance moves. That talent transferred easily to yoga, and his students soon were wowed by his ability to guide them safely into complex and advanced yoga poses.
Initially, Jaye studied Ashtanga yoga with David Swenson and Vickie Sorenson, and he taught in that style for four years before finding Anusara yoga. Now certified in Anusara, Jaye apprenticed with John Friend and has both studied and taught with Betsey Downing, Douglas Brooks, and Sianna Sherman. Presently, Jaye instructs several yoga teacher trainings, and he leads workshops as well as retreats internationally. When he is at home in sunny Sarasota, Florida, he teaches a devoted following at Garden of the Heart Yoga Centre.

She feels passionate about Anusara yoga and in her 30+ years as a fitness teacher and 40+ years studying nature based metaphysical teachings shines through as an “energizing presence and is contagiously up lifting.” She has dedicated thousands of hours to rigorous yoga studies, practice, training, and her contemplative practices of life and teaching Anusara yoga in my playful way. Whether it has been luck, destiny or Grace, probably a combination of all three, her devotion to choosing love, cultivating wisdom, acting in service, a disciplined studentship of yoga and a lively teaching style has resulted in a international teaching journey. It has been humbling, rewarding and full of absolute joy and sorrow, and ultimately, she feels blessed in every way.

Jack Harrison
Jack Harrison has studied many styles of yoga, including Iyengar and Satyananda, in about 2000 he was introduced to Ashtanga Yoga and did a teacher training at Yoga Thailand and later in Dublin and Clare Island, (the island of his mother’s family). This was followed by many more trainings in Anusara Yoga in San Francisco, Paris and Paros in Greece. He began teaching in 2005. Jack has been playing music and singing since a child, he has a Master’s degree in Irish Folklore and Archaeology and has worked for many years as a consultant and lecturer in Heritage Interpretation. Recently he realized that these three interests—yoga, music, and folklore/mythology/ archaeology— could be and are connected. So, putting these together he manifested the Celtic School of Yoga which ties together the yoga traditions of India with those of the Celtic world.
Jack teaches world-wide giving workshops, intensives and teacher trainings, teaching with a strong influence from the Celtic tradition.
These practices explore how it is to ally movement of the body with breath, focus, mythology, poetry, music and the natural world—and the astonishing fact of being alive.
